iPhone stolen in the Philippines: who to call

Short answerMark the iPhone as lost at icloud.com/find, then block your SIM, your e-wallets and your bank access. After that, get a police report and ask the NTC, or Globe if you bought the phone from Globe, to block the phone's IMEI.

Start with marking your iPhone as lost. Then use the numbers below, from a borrowed phone. We read each one on the provider's own website on 30 October 2026. Hotlines change, so if one doesn't work, check the provider's site.

Block your SIM

NetworkWhat to do
Globe / TMPostpaid: call 211 from a Globe number, or use Messenger (m.me/globeph, Report Lost Phone). Prepaid and TM: go to a Globe store with one government ID.
Smart / TNT*888 from a Smart number, or (02) 8888-1111 by landline. You can also message Smart on Facebook or @SmartCares on X. Ask them to stop incoming calls and texts too: for postpaid, Smart says outgoing calls are barred when you report, and incoming ones if you ask.
DITO186 from a DITO number, or customerservice@dito.ph. Some DITO pages also list 185.

Block your e-wallets

Report it to the police

Get a police blotter or report, and bring your IMEI. If money or accounts were taken, you can also contact the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group at (02) 8723-0401: local 7490 for its Cyber Response Unit, or local 7492 for its Cyber Financial Crime Unit, or the NBI Cybercrime Division at ccd@nbi.gov.ph, an address the BSP lists.

Block the phone's IMEI

To stop the phone working on Philippine mobile networks, ask the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC). If you bought it from Globe, you can ask Globe. The NTC's Loss / Stolen Cellphone page has an online form, and shows 1682 as its 24-hour consumer hotline. Smart's page gives the NTC's number as 0919-299 9999. Expect to need a notarized Affidavit of Ownership and Loss with Undertaking, which is an NTC form, a copy of your ID, and proof the phone is yours: a receipt, the box or a seller's certificate of purchase. Without those, the NTC's form accepts an affidavit, with a police blotter if available. Smart says you need a police report. Nothing we read says blocking will tell you where the phone is, so use Apple's Find My for that. Check the NTC's own page for the current form.

Get your number back

Go to your network's store for a replacement SIM, and check what to bring first. Globe's pages disagree on what to bring for a lost SIM: one asks for one government ID, a store form and a selfie, and the other asks prepaid and TM for a notarized affidavit of loss and two government IDs. Here are the details, so ask the store first. One ID is enough just to have the SIM barred. DITO's rules can differ by SIM type, so ask DITO what applies to yours.

How FirstHour helps

With Plan B, you tick your own network, e-wallets and banks ahead of time, and only those appear in your plan. Send it to someone you trust or print it as a wallet card, because a plan that's only on your phone goes missing with it. Hotlines are checked by hand, so they can go out of date.

Questions

Can the NTC find my stolen phone?

We couldn't confirm that it can. The NTC page we read is about blocking phones, not finding them. Use Apple's Find My for that, and if it shows where the phone is, tell the police rather than going after it yourself.

Should I report to my network or the NTC first?

Call your network first, because blocking your SIM protects your login codes straight away. The IMEI block can follow.

Will my GCash money be safe?

Nobody can promise that, so report it immediately. GCash says it blocks the account within 4 hours, so your money may still be at risk until then. You can later ask to unblock it or transfer your remaining funds from a new phone. If money has already been taken, tell GCash and the police.
