iPhone stolen in the United Kingdom: who to call
Take a breath, and ask someone to help if you can. We read each number below on an official page on 2 November 2026. Where it's a regulator's or government page rather than the company's own, the note says so. Numbers change, so if one doesn't work, use the official page beside it. Numbers that only work from your own network's phone won't help until you have a SIM again, so look for another way to reach them. Call costs vary.
First steps
- Mark your iPhone as lost at icloud.com/find. Here's the full plan.
- Block your SIM with your network, so nobody else can receive your login codes. Ask how to get your own codes or a replacement SIM.
- Call your banks and e-wallets, and ask them to protect your accounts.
- Report it to the police and ask about blocking the phone.

E-wallets and payment apps
| Who | What to do |
|---|---|
| Apple PaySuspend your cards by marking the iPhone as lost | Use their official help page. On any web browser, go to icloud.com/find and choose Mark As Lost. Apple says this locks the phone and suspends your Apple Pay cards, and you don't need a verification code. It only works if Find My was on before the phone went missing. Official page |
| Google WalletLock or erase your Android phone | Use their official help page. Go to google.com/android/find to lock or erase the phone. Erasing it removes your payment cards from the phone. The phone needs power and a connection for this to work. Official page |
Report it to the police
If the theft is over and nobody is in danger, report it by calling 101 or by using the police online form. Keep any reference number you are given, because an insurer may ask for it.
| Who | What to do |
|---|---|
| Police non-emergency lineReport a theft that isn't an emergency | 101 from inside the UK (it doesn't work from abroad) You can also report online: police.uk/pu/contact-us for England, Wales and Northern Ireland, or scotland.police.uk/contact-us for Scotland. Official page |
| Police ScotlandReport a theft in Scotland that isn't an emergency | 101 in Scotland 0300 426 0101 from England, Wales, Northern Ireland or outside the UK Hours: 24 hours, 7 days Official page |
Block the phone
There is no single national office to call. Your own network blocks the phone using its serial number, called the IMEI, so ask them to block both the SIM and the phone. Networks pass the block on: Vodafone says a blocked phone won't work on any UK network, and Three says it reaches other networks within 48 hours.

| ImmobiliseFlag a registered phone as lost or stolen | Use their official help page. A free register that police can search. It only helps if you registered the phone beforehand, and it does not block the phone from working. Log in and mark the item as lost or stolen. Official page |

Please don't
- Don't remove the iPhone from Find My. That takes off Activation Lock.
- Don't go after the phone yourself. If Find My shows where it is, tell the police.
- Don't trust a message saying your iPhone was found. Here's how that scam works.
How FirstHour helps
Plan B gets you ready before anything happens. FirstHour's built-in provider lists cover the Philippines and the US for now. In the United Kingdom, you get the general first-hour steps, and you can add your own providers and numbers. Send your plan to someone you trust or print it. FirstHour can't lock your accounts or find your phone for you.
